of course this is totally off model because I can only work from SCREENSHOTS I'm just gonna upload this now before I notice any OTHER problems with it(there are too many but I've been working on this for a couple hours so I give up) Next time I'll buy a figurine. They'll be out by then right? Also lol at such a lame title, I couldn't think of anything else T_T
So yeah, Storm Hawks. Wikipedia it.
Also just to answer the predictable question "OMG he looks scary! Why did you draw him so scary and out of character!" Well I wanted to capture the feeling all us fans get when we see the usually timid Stork go nuts and kick ass like in -nerd alert- the Forbidden City, Leviathan, the Lesson or perhaps more figuratively Terra Neon(YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT) I think the longer Stork hangs out with his outgoing teammates the more he ends up being INFECTED with their confidence. In the end he's still kindof scary. ....Hahah, I'm such a goob for thinking so much about a TV show. I hate people like me. augh still though I'd do anything to work for Nerd Corps
I feel ashamed.
PS "merb" is the best word ever. Say it out loud. merb.
hee thank you Anyhoo to answer your question, it was with a billion layers and adjusting that took like twice as long as the drawing/colouring itself. I only just barely spritzed any colour on, the rest is big flat fill layers of colour. The paper texture was from Mayang's, desaturated and set to about 50% overlay... I just wanted it to be really authentic and unique looking.

*tackles him and showers with kisses* BACK OFF, YA VULTURES!!! HE'S MINE!!!!
Seriously, great job. Yes, I agree. I think Stork is slowly coming out of his shell. You should've seen him in "Dude, Where's My Condor?" He REALLY lost it in that one! Just ask Finn! I wonder if they'll give him a solo adventure, like what Aerrow had in "Escape!"
First off, everyone here at deviantART would like to say THANK YOU!!! We have received an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm for the launch of version 6 and believe that this has been our best-received launch to date.
You might even be one hell of a profesional, but if you don't SHOW it and PROVE it, how will everyone know? These facts are important not only when you are looking for a job, but in any situation when you wish to showcase your work. I decided to share a few guidelines that might help you give the best of yourself and help you be a better profesional.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

Anyway, love the colors you used in this picture, very murky and dark and so him.
